Mildred and the Midnight City: I felt like a kid again after watching this beautiful, adventurous tale filled with magical songs, puppets and projections. Although a children's show, I feel like anyone could have come to watch HookHitch perform this enchanting hour of Mildred's adventure. Each character is distinctive, the story uplifting and visually breathtaking. This company seem to impress me more and more with each show and this is such a contrast to 'The Despondant Divorcée' (review HERE), the other show the have at the fringe this year. I can't wait to see any of their future projects.

No Belles: How many women have got a Nobel Prize? 16 in 109 years. Three skilled women (and a musician) reveal some of the most heart-warming, ground-breaking and remarkable stories of females in lab coats. Social issues are addressed while we warm to each story and realise the importance of these women. Accompanied by atmospheric background music this company have wowed with this killer of a show.

Stay Awake for Now the Musical: The thing that really struck me about this show was the music. Every harmony and melody was perfect and the group all shone through most clearly in the songs. The ambitious main character, Drew, is drawn to his love of music but he is torn between his best friend and his girlfriend. The script did need some work and some other areas need to be improved but it's still early days.

Bianco: High-flying, groundbreaking, jaw-dropping acrobatics and music dazzled me for two hours. They have thought about everything at this show, especially simple things like lighting which is often just forgotten about at acrobatics shows like these. The live band, engaging performers and stunning visuals makes a must-see show.
